I’m Kerry Sullivan, a qualified person-centred counsellor dedicated to supporting your personal growth and emotional well-being. With years of experience and the recent completion of my degree, I strive to deepen my skills to provide the best possible. My approach is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine understanding, creating a safe space for you explore your feelings and challenges at your own pace. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, low self-worth, or life transitions, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward resilience and positive. Additionally, my volunteer work with Mind, a leading mental health charity, enriches my commitment promoting mental health awareness and community well-being.

🌱My initial assessments are designed to understand your challenges, strengths, and goals. This helps me create a personalised counselling journey tailored to your individual needs.
Free 15-Minute Counselling Consultation
Looking for the right counsellor can feel overwhelming. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute introductory call by phone or video, giving you a chance to explore whether counselling with me feels like the right fit.
During this short consultation, you can:

Talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy

Ask any questions you have about how I work
 - 
Get a feel for whether you’d like to begin sessions
 
There’s no pressure to continue, just a chance for us to connect.
If you decide you’d like to work together, we can arrange a full assessment session and discuss what ongoing support might look like for you.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace. As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you already hold the answers within you, sometimes you just need a safe, empathic space to hear yourself.
Counselling with me isn’t about fixing or diagnosing, it’s about feeling heard, understood, and supported, especially in the places that feel messy, fragile, or hard to put into words. You don’t need to come with solutions. Just come as you are.
I draw from both professional training and lived experience, which means I meet you not from above or beyond, but beside you, with compassion, care, and respect for your journey.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in a session?
You lead the way. There’s no pressure to talk about anything before you're ready. I’m here to listen, reflect, and gently help you explore what’s going on beneath the surface.
How many sessions will I need?
That’s entirely up to you. Some people come for a handful of sessions, others for longer-term support. We can regularly review how it’s going and make space for what feels right for you.
Is everything confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is central to our work together. I follow the BACP Ethical Framework, which means your privacy is respected and protected, with a few legal exceptions (e.g. serious harm or safeguarding).
📅 Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session rate.

Reviewing how counselling is going can help us stay connected to what’s most helpful for you. It’s a space where you can reflect on the process, share what’s working, and gently explore anything that feels stuck, unclear, or challenging.

Reviews are usually a natural part of our ongoing work. They may include:

Checking in on how you’re feeling about the counselling process

Exploring what you find helpful or unhelpful in our sessions

Discussing the pace, timing, or focus of the work
